General / Unprofessional Workers

This is another category that groups general workers for a variety of positions in demand in the Israeli labor market. Positions that cannot be clearly assigned to one of the existing categories.

In defining a “general worker”, we understand that these positions, some of which are unique to work frameworks in Israel, constitute a significant and necessary workforce that contributes to the Israeli economy, from positions in warehouses, assisting on production lines, running errands, to cataloging and sorting work.

In a significant number of cases, these general workers will be asked, as part of their work, to focus on performing daily, repetitive tasks, which often include physical labor, whether transporting goods, performing cleaning, or physically working alongside skilled workers, and must act according to their instructions.

The requirement for a foreign worker defined as a “general worker” is to show flexibility and rapid adaptation to roles that they may not have been exposed to before and sometimes the need to work in several departments within a shift, which can be challenging and complex as per their knowledge and receive placement in a professional job that yields a higher income and a promising employment future.
